Coordination of monographs
Each thematic issue published in Revista de Comunicación y Salud has a maximum of three coordinators, at least one of whom must be international. Their main function is to propose a relevant and current topic in the proposed field.
The coordinators of the issue will be researchers specialized and updated in the topic addressed; they are familiar with the most recent discussions, the main actors and authors, the scenarios and the bibliography on the subject.
They must come from at least two different universities (national and international) and may not publish in the same issue of the proposed Monograph.
Their main contribution lies in defining the central theme of the issue, with its limits and scope, proposing possible specialist authors, as well as possible reviewers. They also take part in the preliminary review of the manuscripts that respond to the call for papers.
In summary, the responsibilities of the Monograph coordinators are:
-
Draft the CFP call for papers, define the central theme and key topics.
-
Once approved, participate in the preliminary review of the articles submitted in response to the call for papers.
- Disseminate the call for papers among their peers and institutions.
-
Suggest referees to be invited to review the articles.
