Approach and Scope
Revista de Comunicación y Salud (RCyS) is devoted to the dissemination of scientific research that examines, from an interdisciplinary perspective, communicative processes related to health, illness, prevention, the promotion of well-being, and the interaction between institutions, professionals, and citizens. The journal welcomes contributions that analyze strategies, discourses, practices, media, and communicative dynamics developed in healthcare, educational, and social contexts, both in academic and professional settings.
RCyS is addressed to researchers, educators, and professionals interested in the study of communication applied to health and in the transfer of knowledge with social impact. Its approach integrates theoretical, methodological, and empirical contributions from communication studies, public health, education, psychology, sociology, and other related disciplines, with particular attention to scientific rigor, academic relevance, and the practical usefulness of research findings.
RCyS is a peer-reviewed journal that applies a double-blind peer review system, ensuring an impartial, objective, and transparent review process. The journal is managed through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, open-source software developed by the Public Knowledge Project under the GNU General Public License.
The official language of the journal is Spanish; however, submissions in their original language are also accepted in English, French, and Portuguese, in accordance with the established editorial guidelines.
