About the Journal

Revista de Comunicación y Salud (RCyS) is a scientific journal published by the Chair of Communication and Health of the Faculty of Information Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid. RCyS is a Diamond Open Access journal, ensuring free and unrestricted access to its contents, as well as the absence of article processing charges for both authors and readers.

Since 2021, RCyS has adopted a Continuous Publication model, under which articles are published individually in digital format as soon as their editorial process is completed, without the need to wait for the closure of an issue or volume. For editorial organization and citation purposes, the journal is structured into annual volumes, each running from January to December, with a maximum of ten articles per volume.

Awarding of the FECYT Quality Seal to Revista de Comunicación y Salud

With great excitement, we are pleased to inform all readers, authors, reviewers, and collaborators that Revista de Comunicación y Salud has been awarded the Quality Seal granted by the 9th Edition of the 2025 Evaluation Process of Editorial and Scientific Quality of Spanish Academic Journals, as well as the Mention for Good Editorial Practices in Gender Equality.

This recognition is the result of the sustained, rigorous, and committed work of all those who, through their professionalism and dedication, make the journal’s editorial project possible and have contributed decisively to achieving this milestone.

Please consult the full list of journals evaluated and recognized in this call. Likewise, we are awaiting further communications and instructions from FECYT regarding the proper display of the seal corresponding to successful evaluation and admission within the framework of this call.
